Aníbal Raposo canta Poetas da Lusofonia

Part of the PDL26 — Portuguese Capital of Culture programme, Falas & Afetos is a sensitive thematic concert of songs composed by Aníbal Raposo based on poems by acclaimed Portuguese-language authors from across the Lusophone world: the Azores, Madeira, mainland Portugal, Cape Verde, Angola, São Tomé and Príncipe, Brazil, Mozambique, Goa, Macau and Timor. Accompanied by a seven-piece band, the show creates a poetic and musical crossing where a shared language reveals itself in multiple sounds, affections and geographies. Each song is briefly contextualised, highlighting its author, origin and the emotional and social content of the work.
