  14. Espada, Lisbon
    Espada
    Cais do Sodré
    Restaurants
At *Rua de São Paulo 26*, running parallel to the famous Rua Cor de Rosa, a space was born where the sea is the guiding thread and the world is the limit. Where creativity might no longer seem capable of setting anything apart, the hallmark of traditional Portuguese cooking brings to this journey great freshness, a contemporary spirit and a whole array of flavours as typical as they have always been. *ESPADA* is definitely for lovers of food in general and of the ocean in particular. Among the freshness of the raw dishes, the lightness of the braised plates and the subtlety of the grilled ones, tuna and salmon stand out, not forgetting the famous sardine, traditional salt cod and even one of the house's most celebrated ingredients, truffle. It is from the partners' creativity, together with the hand of *Chef Mário Cardoso*, that the menu is born — one meant to be dynamic and always up to date. And so that the occasion is truly perfect, the advice is not to leave *ESPADA* without tasting the most famous *RYB EYE* in the neighbourhood! The triumphant finale comes with the salted caramel tart, another *ESPADA* signature. In this range of contemporary flavours, the greatest influence comes from travels around the world, which have added plenty of originality and flavour to the fish and seafood variations. While the menu is hard to define because it is never closed, allowing for enormous dynamism along the way, it is very easy to appreciate the freshness of the very best worked here every day. PAYMENT ACCEPTED BY VISA, MULTIBANCO AND MB WAY
