Avenida Lusiada, 1500-392 Lisbon. Fábrica da Nata is located on the second floor of the Centro Comercial Colombo, shop 091. Their hours are from 9AM to midnight, seven days a week. The claim to fame of Fábrica da Nata is their pastel de nata. Along with their signature tart, they have croissants with jam and baguette sammies with a variety of fillings. They have soups, salads, quiches, and wraps as well. You can get their famous tart, along with a bevy of sweet and savory snacks for breakfast and lunch. Fábrica da Nata also provides a café menu, with coffee drinks. With views into their bakery from the second floor, you can even witness the production of their trademark tarts. They have innovated their products and reinvented the classic tart by transforming it to a tart scooped ice cream. The brand recommendations are to enjoy the tart with a glass of Sandeman Port wine, and offers a tasting menu. Also, they suggest that the tart be paired with Licor 35, a creamy Pastel de Nata liqueur. Their stores in both Lisbon and Porto have comfortable lounges and some terraces. Fabrica Da Nata opened their first shop in Lisbon in 2016, and is now located throughout Lisbon, Porto, and Sintra. The website mentions the creation of the pastry. In the late 1600's, various convents and monasteries across Portugal created a multitude of sweets and pastries using egg left over in the washing of clothing as well as in the wine-making process. After the 1820 Liberal Revolution, the recipes were then passed on and have been recognized nationally as a part of Portuguese desserts.

Located at Rua da Fábrica de Material de Guerra 1 in the Marvila district of Lisbon, Portugal, Fábrica de Armamento de Braço de Prata (Fábrica Braço de Prata) is a private cultural center that is housed in the former administrative buildings of a military factory. The name of the building reflects its location in the neighborhood of Braço de Prata. The factory was designed to manufacture small arms and shells and other artillery munitions. They also manufactured ammunition for artillery. The factory designed and manufactured some small arms, including a license-built version of the Heckler & Koch G3. This version was designated the Espingarda m/961 and was used in the Portuguese Colonial War. A new factory at this location was authorized in a royal decree in 1902. The construction of the factory was completed in 1907, and the factory began production of 75mm munitions. In 1911 it was renamed Fábrica de Material de Guerra. In 1912 it absorbed the small arms machinery of the Fábrica de Armas in Santa Clara. 1929 saw the production of small numbers of Vickers machine guns and MP 28 submachine guns. In July 1937 Mauser Werke supplied a contract to provide Mauser 98k rifles to be completed at Braço de Prata. After World War II the factory changed its name to Fábrica Militar de Braço de Prata, and in 1947, as part of the Marshall Plan, the factory received $2.730 million. Later it integrated the state defense system, INDEP, and closed its operations in 1998. In 2007 part of the old building was opened as a cultural center. There are bookstores, movie theaters, a theater, a music hall, and bars. There is lots of entertainment including movies, and lectures. Some rooms host different events at the same time. In 2026 the city council officially recognized the cultural center. Some rooms host different events at the same time. The Braço de Prata train station is less than a ten-minute walk and public buses 210, 728 and 781 stop at Fabrica Braço Prata. Some areas of the buildings can be cold. Guests are allowed to take drinks from the bar to the book rooms. The cultural center and surrounding areas of Marvila offer a variety of entertainment including theater, plays and a variety of food and drink options. On October 30th Tim Kliphuis will offer a workshop at 18:00 and perform a musical set at 21:30.
