Founded in 2007 in the Brazilian city of Porto Alegre, the Rei da Gula pizzeria is a creation of the couple Sérgio and Silvana and their son Gabriel, who got his hands in the dough from a very early age! Back in Porto Alegre it was already known for the quality of its dough, as well as for its unique seasonings and creative, flavourful fillings, such as the Strogonoff pizza and the traditional Frango com Catupiry. In Portugal since 2019, Rei da Gula brought to Vila Nova de Gaia pizzas made with traditional Italian recipes, but with the hallmark of Brazilian pizza: generous fillings and an immense variety of combinations, with options to please every palate. Our mission is to offer our customers a cheerful and pleasant environment, dishes prepared with dedication and the finest ingredients, so that our house is more than a restaurant: a place of meeting and reunion between flavours and cultures.

    Museums
Located in Parque da Pasteleira, in the striking space of a former water reservoir, the Reservatório was refurbished in 2017 by architects Alexandre Alves Costa and Sérgio Fernandez, with a museological project by João Mendes Ribeiro. The Reservatório tells the material history of the city, of its foundations, its walls and squares, the river that runs through it, its streets and monuments, the evolution of its urban fabric and its successive existences, conceived and raised by the hands of designers and builders. It reveals the history of the gap rather than the history of the filling. Fragment after fragment is summoned to narrate moments that hint at existences from this and other times. Materials from different eras sit alongside audiovisual devices and different types of images, to show how PortuCale, the city that gave Portugal its name, became Porto. Along the route through the Reservatório galleries it is also possible to come into contact with the archaeological reserves and the work of the researchers of the Câmara Municipal do Porto and, sooner rather than later, with a specialised library, part of the Biblioteca Errante do Porto. Address: Parque da Pasteleira (West Entrance) Rua de Gomes Eanes de Azurara, s/n 4150-362 Porto Opening hours: Tue—Sun 10:00—17:30 Closed on Mondays Contact: museudoporto@cm-porto.pt + Info: https://museudoporto.pt/estacao/reservatorio/
