Largo da Academia Nacional De Belas ArtesLargo da Academia Nacional de Belas Artes, colloquially known as Largo das Belas Artes, is a Lisbon square in the Chiado area, in the parish of Santa Maria Maior. It is formed by the meeting of Rua Ivens and Rua Vítor Cordon. Its current name was made official by a decree of 6 April 1982, replacing its earlier name, Largo da Biblioteca Pública. The change came after a request from the Academia Nacional de Belas-Artes, which has its headquarters on the square, and in view of the fact that the Biblioteca Pública had been moved to Campo Grande and renamed the Biblioteca Nacional.ChiadoSquares, Streets & Bridges
